A simpler path

Start With the State Where You Will Attend

You must be physically located in an eligible state during every telehealth appointment. After you choose your current state, our simple booking guide displays insurance booking options, or you may choose private pay instead.

Choose your state

Select where you will be physically located—not merely your home address.

Choose coverage or private pay

Pick the option that most closely matches your plan or payment preference.

Know what to expect

We verify your insurance so you can understand your estimated cost before your appointment.

How to book with your insurance

Insurance and Payment Options Vary by State

Choose your state, then your insurance or private-pay option. Private-pay appointments are booked through Alma. Other insurance appointments use Alma or Headway, depending on your plan. Utah patients with SelectHealth commercial, SelectHealth Medicaid/Community Care, or Utah Medicaid can choose a 90-minute appointment time on our booking calendar. The video visit takes place through Spruce; a free Spruce account is required. We verify your coverage and estimated cost before your appointment.

Medicare is not accepted. Never assume that a carrier name alone confirms in-network coverage.

What affects your cost

Why Two Patients With the Same Carrier May Pay Differently

1

Network and plan

A carrier offers many products. Network participation may differ by state, employer, marketplace, Medicaid, or other plan type.

2

Deductible and copay

Your benefits determine whether a deductible applies and whether you owe a copay, coinsurance, or another amount.

Common questions

Insurance and Cost FAQs

Does seeing my insurer’s name guarantee coverage?
A carrier name alone does not confirm coverage for your specific plan. We verify your insurance and help you understand your estimated cost before your appointment.
Can I use private pay?
Yes. View Steven’s private-pay details on Alma, select your state, and review the current fee and policies before requesting an appointment.
Do you accept Medicare?
No. Medicare is not accepted. If Medicare is your primary insurance, verify eligibility before scheduling.
What if I do not know which option to choose?
Select “Message Steven on Spruce” on the booking page. Spruce is our secure messaging service. Create a free account or sign in to ask about insurance or scheduling.
