Common questions

Idaho Telehealth FAQs

Who provides the psychiatric care?
Care is provided by Steven K. Elrod, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. PMHNPs are trained and licensed to evaluate psychiatric symptoms, diagnose conditions, prescribe when appropriate, and manage psychiatric treatment.
Do I have to be in Idaho during my visit?
Yes. You must be physically located in Idaho at the time of the appointment, even if Idaho is your permanent residence.
Can an Idaho college student continue care while away at school?
Only when physically located in a state where Steven is authorized to provide care. An Idaho residence does not by itself permit an appointment while the student is in another state.
Can I join from Washington or Oregon while traveling?
An Idaho appointment requires physical presence in Idaho. If you are in Washington, where Steven is also authorized, use the Washington booking route. Oregon is not currently a SimplyCalm service state.
Is this an emergency service?
No. For an emergency, call 911, call or text 988, or go to the nearest emergency department.
